The Milwaukee Brewers offense has been on a whole other level this past week. In addition to going 6-2 in eight games, the Brewers tied the 2020 San Diego Padres for the most grand slams in an eight-game span by one team with five.
Four different Brewers collected grand slams in the span - Brice Turang (2), Rhys Hoskins, Jake Bauers, and Jackson Chourio. In those five games, Milwaukee went 4-1, with three of the five grand slams giving them the lead.

A lot can be taken away from the Crews impressive feat, but the man with two slams has been the crucial element. Before the season, when asked about what was expected from Brice Turang heading into 2024, first year Brewer manager Pat Murphy said, "I'm expecting this kid to take a quantum leap." Turang's leap hasn't just been a "quantum" one, but it has been astronomical.
Turang's numbers this season surpass nearly every number in his rookie year despite having 126 less plate appearances.

Another young gun contributing to the grand slam party is rookie Jackson Chourio. Starting off the year slower than many people expected offensively, Chourio has turned things around, spiking his numbers over the past 30 days - slashing .316/.361/.526 with 4 home runs and 18 runs-batted-in.
Chourio's recent success at the plate has given him the nod to become an everyday starter, something the rookie has been striving for since his debut.
Following their 8-7 loss to the Colorado Rockies tonight, the Milwaukee Brewers look to bounce back in Colorado's hitter friendly ballpark tomorrow, July 2nd, at 6:40PM MDT.
