Adds
Spencer Torkelson - 1B - Detroit Tigers
It’s time to buy into the Torkelson hype, for now. In the last seven days (as of Saturday) he has recorded eight of his 22 total hits, four of his seven home runs and 14 of his 21 RBI. Keep an eye on him for a tad bit longer, but if you want to make the move to pick him up, do so.
Trevor Story - SS - Boston Red Sox
Rostered in just 26.2% of leagues, per ESPN Fantasy, Story would be a great pickup for a middle infield flex spot. Over the last seven days, he’s hitting .429 with 12 hits, three home runs and nine RBI.
Jose Caballero - IF - Tampa Bay Rays
Caballero’s versatility plays a role in this target, but the fact that he’s hitting .324 and getting on base at .432 is the main reason for him being a waiver wire target for this week. He’ll slot in anywhere you need him in your lineup, but buyer beware. Caballero already has 17 strikeouts in just 14 games.
Heston Kjerstad - OF - Baltimore Orioles
After a slow start to the season, Kjerstad has caught fire, hitting .353 over the last seven days to go along with three home runs. His only downside is that he’s only walked once compared to 12 strikeouts thus far.
Luke Weaver - RP - New York Yankees
Weaver should be an easy add for almost everyone. Owned in just under 33% of ESPN Fantasy leagues, he is already ranked eighth among relief pitchers and has yet to surrender an earned run this season.
Drops
Devin Williams - RP - New York Yankees
It’s time. With a 7.20 ERA over the past seven days and an equal number of strikeouts to walks (3:3), WIlliam's is in severe danger of losing the coveted closer spot of the New York Yankees. With that being said, it’s time to let him go until he can find his stride.
Carlos Correa - SS - Minnesota Twins
Averaging just 2.2 fantasy points per game, Correa no longer feels like a viable option at shortstop. There is seemingly no benefit to rostering him anymore and there is no upswing in sight. Despite hitting his first home run of the season on Saturday against Atlanta, he is still slashing just .191/.257/.324 in 20 games.
Jazz Chisholm Jr - OF/2B - New York Yankees
Getting ejected on Thursday doesn’t take away the fact that Jazz is hitting a meager .165 this season with just 13 hits. The numbers show that Jazz is dependent on the long ball and will continue that path until he makes a change.
Michael Harris II - OF - Atlanta Braves
Harris has been ice cold to start the 2025 season – just like the rest of the Braves. Wielding a season batting average of .200, he has proved to be inconsistent over the past two weeks. With just a .225 on-base percentage, he’s very dependent on hits to get him on base and everyone knows he hasn’t been doing any of that lately.
Jonah Heim - C - Texas Rangers
It’s worth it to put up with the appalling offensive numbers that certain catchers put up in fantasy baseball. Jonah Heim is not one of those catchers. With just one hit in his last seven days, he’s not worth a roster spot on anyone’s bench anymore.
